2016 Region III/II Ratings Tournament

When: Saturday, August 20; please arrive at 8:30 AM for registration
Where: Notre Dame Preparatory High School, 9701 E Bell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260

R1: 9:00
R2: 11:00
R3: 1:00
(Round times are subject to change based on flow of the individual games)

Registration:
Please send your rosters to Carmene Carbone (ccarbone@ndpsaints.org) by Thursday, August 19th at 3:00pm. On your rosters, please include player's name and rating (if rating is known).  If a player is new to AIA chess and has a USCF rating, please indicate that as well so it can be converted to AIA.

Sections:
This will be an individual style tournament with G45/5 second delay time control

Directions to campus:

Notre Dame Prep is located just south of Bell Rd on 98th Street. 

If you are taking the 101 from the south.  Get off at Frank Lloyd Wright, continue north on the frontage road until you get to Bell.  Turn right and head to 98th St. Turn right to the school.

If you are taking the 101 from the north.  Get off at Princess.  Continue south on the frontage road until you reach Bell.  Turn left and head to 98th St. Turn right to the school.

The Tournament will be in the NDP cafeteria.  You should park in the parking lot that is north of the Gym (3rd parking area on the right).  The cafeteria is in the building on the north side of that lot.  There will be NDP chess team members and signs to direct you to the check in area.

There are some places to eat near the school. 
Subway – East of 98th St on Bell, the Bashas’ shopping center.


All others (Chick-fil-A, Wendy’s, Peter Piper Pizza, McDonalds) will be at the mall between Frank Lloyd Wright and Raintree Drive on the west side of the 101.
