2017 Arizona Interscholastic Association Chess State Individual Championship

Where: Palo Verde High School, Tucson, AZ
When: November 17th and 18th

Sixty four players who qualified earlier in qualifiers all across the state gathered for the finals.

Winners:

First Place: Prateek Pinisetti, Senior from BASIS Chandler wins clear first with 5.5/6 games.


Runner up: Justin Fink, Senior from Chandler Preparatory comes in second with 5 points.

When: November 3rd and 4th

Winners:

Hamilton High School with a perfect score of 5. Congratulations Hamilton AIA Chess Team.


Runner-up: Brophy High School coming in second on tie breaks with 4 points. Job well done.


Coming in third with four points and on tie breaks is Chapparal High School and fourth place with four points is BASIS Chandler.
