2016 State Chess Team Tournament

Host:  BASIS Flagstaff

November 4th-5th, 2016

Location: BASIS Flagstaff Multi-Purpose Room

Direction: I have attached a map for you and please feel free to call me if you get lost or have any questions

Schedule:  This is a 5 round Swiss tournament.

Check-in starts at 4:15pm. Please don’t arrive early as we will be having school dismissal.

                        Friday            11/4_                                      Saturday 11/10_

                        Round 1: 5:00 pm                            Round 3: 9:00 am

                        Round 2: 7:30 pm                            Round 4: 11:30 am

                                                                                    Round 5: 2:00 pm                          

            Coaches Meeting will be at 7:45 following the start of the 2^nd Round        

Awards Ceremony immediately following Round 5 at +/- 4:45pm

Registration:  All player information is needed by Wednesday, November 2^nd or sooner! E-mail rosters to the Tournament Director (TBD),  Luke.Calhoun@basised.com and chris.lamb@basised.com.

Please include the following: school and region, coach’s name and cell number, players’ names and ratings for the varsity section and players’ names and ratings for the alternate section.

Concessions:  Food will be available to purchase on site. This will including slices of pizza, chips, snacks, water and soda.

Restaurants:  We have Little Caesars, Subway, Sonic, Jimmy Johns nearby plus a variety of local spots like Mama Burger, Fratellis Pizza, Satchmo’s BBQ and Filibertos Mexican Cuisine. 

Hotels/Motels:  Several options are available, including several reasonable priced hotels near the 1-40 and a few near downtown Flagstaff.
